Let’s learn a little about you and really get to experience what makes us tick – starting at our beginnings. Where did your story begin?
Adam Garcia: Since I was in college, I have always had that gift and passion of teaching others in finance and investment. I believe inside my heart and brain that all young people should know how to invest and how to build wealth for themselves.
Years ago, I was the CEO at an executive financial marketing ALG financial, I detected the great desire of entrepreneurs and new investors especially the youth to understand the investment field and the tools needed so they can get the best outcomes.
Then I took my life-changing decision and I started my own company the stock dork.
Was there somebody in your life that inspired you to take that specific journey with your business?
Adam Garcia: This is not an easy question, I can’t specify just one person in my family or friends. For sure, there are many of them who encouraged me to continue when I faced dilemmas through my path. I can tell here a few sayings from some of the family members, the nice thing is that such words have a strong positive echo on my psychology, and it resonates in my brain whenever I face struggles.
I remembered at my beginnings I had a very bad week full of bad fortunes, literally I got bad news every two hours in that week! I was exhausted and disappointed and telling myself why all this? why am I doing this!!. One of my parents had told me at that time:
“I don’t know why you’re that depressed!! those are ordinary things that happen in life and business for all the seven billion persons on the globe but the success is just for people who learn and never stops, so it’s up to you!”
Often leaders are asked to share the best advice they received. But let’s reverse the question. What’s the worst advice you received?
Adam Garcia: Fear Nothing!
This is the worst piece of advice I’ve ever heard! And all the related to just do it, don’t let your fear stops you. All such sentences are irrational in the business world.
The right thing to do is to be reasonable, plan very well, if you have any doubts or fear understand why? when there is no real reason for the fear you can ignore it. Otherwise, you need to pay good attention especially during the beginning of the business journey.
Is there a particular podcast you listened to, or business thought leader that you find helpful while maneuvering this pandemic?
Adam Garcia: Yes, recently I listened to many episodes from a podcast on this website http://www.futureproofshow.com/page/4/ about the future of remote working and a different one about the future of scheduling and productivity.
This kind of podcast widens the mentality in the business world about the predicted future in the business world. Also, it helps in understanding more about how far the impact of using high tech will affect the business world and what to expect, and how to prepare.

Adam Garcia: Monitoring is an important step to do for every team and department. High performance usually is a result of collective reasons. One of them is proper monitoring, and yes the process itself differs according to many factors, one of them is the team and performance. But it has to exist all the time.
Do you think entrepreneurship is something that you’re born with or something that you can learn along the way?
Adam Garcia: Both of them. Some traits should be part of the personality and are somehow difficult to learn. However, upskilling and skills enhancement is a must in order to implement those traits on the ground to start a successful entrepreneurial journey.
